President’s Message

Greetings and welcome to the official website of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Omega Mu Omega Chapter. I am honored to serve as the second president of Omega Mu Omega Chapter, chartered as the third graduate chapter in the City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 18, 2016. The mission of Omega Mu Omega Chapter is to strengthen the overall presence, and expand the reach, influence and impact of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in the City of Philadelphia in order to effectuate change.

The Original, Multitalented, Outstanding ladies of Omega Mu Omega Chapter have dedicated ourselves to “Serving Communities Along the River” – from Northeast Philadelphia to South Philadelphia – as we carry out Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated’s Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service programs in the five target areas of HBCU for Life: A Call to Action, Women’s Healthcare and Wellness, Building Your Economic Legacy, The Arts! and Global Impact, as well as our #CAPSM Signature Project.

We invite you to explore our site to learn about our chapter, history, programs, membership, and events. We look forward to working with the citizens of Philadelphia in our efforts to provide Service to All Mankind.

Please contact us if there is an area in which you feel we can be of service in the “communities along the river” or if we can partner with your organization at akaomegamuomega@gmail.com or akaomoprograms@gmail.com.

As Walter Reuther said: “There is no greater calling than to serve your fellow men. There is no greater contribution than to help the weak. There is no greater satisfaction than to have done it well.” Omega Mu Omega Chapter is looking for more servant leaders who are committed to improving the lives of those in need in our service area to join our chapter.

If you are an inactive or General Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, we invite you to visit with us at one of our chapter meetings on the fourth Wednesday of the month from September to June, or one of our community service projects. Please contact us at akaomegamuomegamembership@gmail.com for information about meeting location, time, and requirements for visitor attendance.

On behalf of all of the members of Omega Mu Omega Chapter, we thank you for visiting our website and look forward to greeting you at future events and partnering with you in service.
